Spirit Airlines baggage policy is simple and allows one personal item in the cabin to all passengers.

With each Spirit flight ticket, travelers are entitled to one free personal item. You’ll have to pay extra if you want to bring additional items.
Checked bags over 40 lbs are chargeable.
The dimension of the personal item should not exceed 18 × 14 × 8 inches, including handles and wheels.
The carry on bag shouldn’t exceed 22 × 18 × 10 inches, including handles and wheels.
Checked bags must be within 62 linear inches and 40 lbs. Any bag that exceeds the dimension and weight are considered oversized or overweight and will be charged.
