Cafe Royal Circle Bar – Edinburgh

The Cafe Royal Circle Bar is somewhat of an Edinburgh institution. Dating back to 1826, this is a must for anyone interested in oysters in Edinburgh. The bar has an incredible atmosphere, ambiance and decor which, on it’s own, is a worth a trip to this restaurant. However, the food makes it a must see while in the city.

With some of the best mussels and oysters in the city, this is an ideal stop for a drink and starter or go for a full dinner in the restaurant. The bar and restaurant can get quite busy so try making a reservation for the restaurant or visit the bar on the earlier side.

Wash down these incredible dishes with local ales, Scotch whisky or a bottle from their rather large ( and reasonably priced) wine list.
