Hotel Maritime – Copenhagen

The Hotel Maritime is a small, quiet hotel in a convenient location in the center of Copenhagen. While not a glamorous or upscale accommodation, the Hotel Maritime provides all the necessities for a city break, with clean rooms, a friendly and helpful staff and a great location within walking distance to all of the major sites of the city.

The rooms are very basic, with single rooms being reminiscent of a dorm room, without a lot space and single beds. Double rooms are a bit larger with enough room to walk around around a bit, but are still on the smaller side and a decor that is very minimalist. Bathrooms have shower areas without a bathtub, but are newer and clean.

Breakfast is included with room prices for a basic continental fare. The hotel does not have room service or a bar, but because the Nyhavn is so close it is not a problem. The hotel is about a 15 minute ride from the airport with taxis costing about $USD 20.

Total cost for three nights for a single room: £170.37 ( approximately $USD 92 per night ).

It is only a three minute walk to the Nyhavn, Copenhagen’s most popular site, littered with bars and restaurants alongside the canal with the wondrous backdrop of varied colored houses.
