Choeng Mon Beach

Located on the northwest area of the island of Koh Samui, Choeng Mon Beach is a collection of bays that, collectively, create a relaxed area that is an ideal option for choosing a hotel location on the island. While other areas may be a bit busier and have more options, the small size of Koh Samui means that Choeng Mon Beach is not too far from any other areas of the island.

There is not a plethora of restaurants in the area, but there are certainly enough options to make this a viable option. Scattered along the beach are a collection of hotels, each offering various restaurants and bars with a wide range of prices of cuisine options. Along the beach, which is quieter than some other areas on the island you can also find activities like jet skiing, kayaking and more.

The Choeng Mon Beach area is ideal if you do not want to be surrounded by loud clubs and bars all day and night, such as in the Chewang Beach area. Choose this area if you are looking to have some relaxation in the mix with the option to go to close by areas for more rowdy evenings.

The Koh Samui is airport is about a 7 minute drive from Choeng Mon Beach, making it very convenient. Chewang Beach, a more bustling area is only about 10-15 minute taxi ride and is extremely cheap for getting to and from.
